This study aims to analyze the forms of dissemination of scientific knowledge used by professors and researchers working in Technological Education in relation to their ways of use in social networks. Qualitative in nature, the research aimed to understand the forms of use in networks and social media by research professors linked to the Postgraduate Program in Technological Education at Federal Center of Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG), in Brazil. Throughout the research, themes like the production of knowledge in professional and technological education were addressed, as well as internet, social media, social networks and knowledge production; and dissemination and production of scientific knowledge. The research shows that the interviewed professors use social networks with different purposes, among them: research sources, dissemination of work and personal matters. In particular, in relation to scientific dissemination on networks, they point to the ways in which events are disseminated and shared, the works are conducted, how channels are produced in networks dealing with scientific knowledge, among others. However, it is not possible to affirm that there is a specific work for the popularization of scientific knowledge among the non-specialist public, the general public.
