SUMMARY:

The global political, social and economic scenario has allowed Education, from its basic to higher education, to be crossed by networks of power-knowledge that aim to conduct behaviors that favor the expansion of an “entrepreneur of the self”, with a clear neoliberal bias. In Brazil, some proposals on teacher training since the enactment of the BNCC, in 2017, with a neoliberal bias, have led Education to reproduce subjects constituted by skills expected by the labor market. This research, inserted in Research Line III: Formative Processes in Professional and Technological Education of the Postgraduate Program in Technological Education of the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG), of a qualitative nature, has the general objective of understanding the social and historical context of teacher training in Brazil and problematizing teaching subjectivity. To this end, we take as an object of analysis the legal documents that deal with initial and continuing teacher training, specifically: the BNCC, CNE/CP Resolution No. October 2020, respectively. Our specific objective is to trace, in the linguistic materiality of the chosen legal documents, the presence of neoliberal rationality, with emphasis on the identification of salvationist proposals in education. The theoretical-methodological foundation of this work is the Discourse Analysis that works with Foucauldian conceptual tools. Based on the theoretical studies and analyzes undertaken, it was sought to highlight, based on the linguistic materiality of these documents, how governmental practices act in the knowledge and (de)construction of the subjectivity of the subjects (teachers), evidencing that neoliberalism leads to education as a vehicle for the (re)production of adaptable and self-governing subjects, the subjects that today's society needs. In addition, the possibility of teacher resistance was pointed out through the problematization of current discourses and the care of the self and the other in/for Education.
