Who polices the police and who trains the trainers are two questions still under debate, the answers to which revolve around the core of the research carried out, which sought to understand how police teachers are trained. The research originated from discussions about the situation of the military police, who did not graduate for the teaching profession, but acts as a teacher in the training of new police officers. Studies on the subject, Training of Military Police Teachers for Professional and Technological Education in the Military Police of Minas Gerais, had as their initial motivation the need to produce scientific knowledge and its respective application. The notes were only possible due to a well-designed methodological strategy, which included the development of the research on three different fronts (bibliographic research, documentary research and survey research). The questionnaire, consisting of twelve questions, was answered by 355 teachers, admitting inferences that had never been made before. Thus, through understanding the training processes of military police teachers who work in training courses at the Military Police of Minas Gerais, the scientific work allowed defining the professional trajectory of these teachers. Based on this conception, it was possible to determine the profile of the military police teaching staff in relation to experiential knowledge, disciplinary knowledge and curricular knowledge, and professional training knowledge. The results constitute an important turning point that will allow, from then on, the creation of new training itineraries by the Military Police Academy of Minas Gerais.
