HELENA ANTIPOFF'S POLITICAL SPEECHES ON PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR HELPLESS MINORS (1930-1935)

This dissertation presents the production of historical knowledge about the concepts of Professional Education for helpless minors that supported the political speeches of Helena Antipoff, in the period from 1930 to 1935. The temporal choice reflects the period in which Helena Antipoff led the creation of several educational institutions and mobilized resources through lectures, conferences, articles, seminars and reports. The writings published for this purpose define the corpus of analysis for understanding the research problem. The theoretical-methodological foundation of this work is the Franco-Brazilian Political Discourse Analysis, highlighting the conceptual tools of Foucault, Charaudeau and Berstein. Based on the theoretical studies and analyzes carried out, an attempt was made to find out, based on the linguistic materiality present in the selected corpus, which are the conceptions and the meaning effects of Professional Education for helpless minors in Helena Antipoff's political speeches and the relationship between the two categories in the formation of a project that reflects the political cultures that marked the political field of the period.
