INTEGRAL EDUCATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CONTAGEM/MG: an analysis of Discursive Heterogeneity, in/from and about the guiding document "Trilha do Saber"

SUMMARY:

This Master's dissertation seeks to understand how the Municipal Department of Education (Seduc) of Contagem/MG approaches and proposes the concept of Integral Education of its students to the teaching professionals of this network, specifically since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, through the educational proposal Trilha do Saber. The choice of this topic arose from the need to answer the question that intrigued us: how is the concept of Integral Education proposed and approached? We therefore proposed this analysis based on the Trilha do Saber document, since it was drawn up during the pandemic and is still the main reference for educational policy in the municipality. Through French-Brazilian Discourse Analysis and the constructs of Jacqueline Authier-Revuz, we aim to understand the effects of meaning and Discursive Formations (DF), the presence of Displayed and Constitutive Heterogeneity, and the ideologies that run through the educational policy of the Municipality of Contagem/MG, observing the Interdiscourse and Discursive Memory (DM) that emerge from/in and on the discursive corpora in two analytical movements. In the first movement, based on the presentation interview about Trilha do Saber, the corpus was entirely transcribed and the uses of the personal pronouns "I", "we" and "us" during the interview were quantified. We then selected some Discursive Clippings (RD) that contained this grammatical class, so that we could analyse the Discursive Heterogeneity present in the discourse. Thus, we realised that the choices made by the enunciator, in the reiteration of pronouns, or in the (in)conscious use of his words, show that his discourse may aspire to a broader representation, but preferably represents the ideology to which he is affiliated and can thus reverberate in the construction of meanings of the municipality's educational policy. In the second, through the linguistic material found, we selected various RD from/in the Trilha do Saber. Thus, we realised the different voices and ideological perspectives involved in its discourse, which contribute to the construction of a multifaceted educational panorama, with elements that do not converge theoretically and/or even the absence of a theoretical basis for them. In an elementary way, Comprehensive Education in the municipality of Contagem/MG is aimed at and orientated entirely on the basis of Transdisciplinary principles and not Interdisciplinary, as indicated in the document. The Trilha do Saber document presents a methodological path centred on the precept of Integral Education, in other words, an education that integrates. However, part of this integration is centred only on the subject being educated and on Education, without considering the important role of the educator in this process. We believe it is necessary to broaden this dialogue to include a discourse on three aspects that are inseparable in the holistic and integrated proposal: education, the educator and the subject being educated. Therefore, we consider it necessary to take a critical and reflective look at the implications of the perspective brought by and about Trilha do Saber for teaching, thus promoting a perspective that is more in line with the educational demands in Contagem/MG.
