Method for operation and maintenance (O&M) in distributed microgeneration photovoltaic systems
Photovoltaic Systems, Operation and Maintenance, O&M, Distributed Generation, Crystalline Silicon Cells
Although Operation and Maintenance (O&M) procedures are becoming increasingly important in the management of photovoltaic systems, there is a clear technical and knowledge gap in the analysis of this issue. Therefore, this work proposes the elaboration of a method for operation and maintenance in distributed microgeneration photovoltaic systems using crystalline silicon cells. The proposal has as theoretical reference a broad review of prior studies to identify the state of the art on the subject. The research proposes the monitoring of photovoltaic generation data to identify problems related to loss of efficiency, as well as definition of routine maintenance. The method should present O&M criteria related to the photovoltaic power plant subsystems and will have as object of research validation the photovoltaic systems of the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais - IFMG, where will be made analysis of generation and identification of main existing problems. The work will enable qualification of the existing workforce, contributing to the improvement of energy efficiency and the use of good practices. The application of the O&M method will also allow the planning of material stock for replacement, as well as cost reduction and greater process agility. Finally, the implementation of the proposal encourages the elaboration of new research and reinforces its alignment with renewable energy technologies and sustainability actions.
