RESUMO:

Traditionally, in structural analysis the hypothesis of fully rigid supports is used because of its simplicity. However, the conventional design in which the supports work independently of the response of the soil deformability to the loads transmitted by the foundation can lead to physical results incompatible with reality. With the development of microcomputers and computer programs, it is possible to carry out more realistic analyzes, which take into account the deformability of the soil next to the foundations. The main objectives of the present work are to analyze the influence of the consideration of the soil-structure interaction on the elements of steel structures when analyzing the geometric non linearity and to evaluate the difference between the types of soil analysis methods in the analysis, which can be by replacing it by springs (Winkler 1867) or considering a continuous medium. Analyzes will be carried out with the help of SAP2000 commercial software. For the study of the stability of plane steel frames, rigorous analysis method, via P-Delta, will be considered, in which will be made the modeling of the steel frames considering conventional supports and models that take the soil-structure interaction will be addressed. It is intended to demonstrate that consideration of the effects of soil-structure interaction on the structural analysis of buildings can have a significant influence on the distribution of the requesting forces, on the displacements and on the behavior of the structure, so that the resistant capacity and stability of a structural system can be affected by the adopted support and that also the calculation model used in the ISE can also influence the results.
