ACTIVE LEARNING AND COLLABORATIVE TEXT GENRE PRODUCTION: A MULTILEVEL APPROACH IN HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH CLASSES
active learning, multilevel approach, distance learning
The research presented in this Project aims at exploring the possibilities that active learning methodologies, along with the collaborative production of text genres, may bring to the foreign language learning process. The context is that of large multilevel groups in distance learning, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequential impossibility of in-person classes. Its theoretical base rests on the OCEM-LE; the teaching and learning of foreign languages in multilevel contexts and approaches; fundamentals of blended learning and active learning, and DIPAC, as well as its related teaching and learning language theories. This research is a case study, oriented by a qualitative approach, which seems appropriate due to its descriptive nature. It is expected that, by carrying out this research, the researcher teacher can seek to analyse, reflect upon and improve her work in pandemic times distance learning.
