SUMMARY:

This master's project aims to carry out a critical reading of the dramaturgical text Fracasso para principiantes – o Movimento da vida everyday, by Marcelo Dolabela. To this end, in the first part of this research, we will reflect on the trajectory of the artist Marcelo Dolabela in contemporary art from Belo Horizonte through a panoramic reading of the main works that cited the poet, his poetic publications, multilingual objects and unpublished academic texts, through the reception of his works by specialized critics, rescuing his biography, the influence of Brazilian marginal poetry, Dadaism, concrete poetry and collective praxis in his work, the reading and denial of the tradition of poetry and his trajectory as an independent artist and director. In the second part of the dissertation, we will reflect, specifically, on the text Fracasso para principiantes – the movement of everyday life, the process of creating Marcelo Dolabela in theater, the concept of poetic theater, the insurgency of orality, the use of irony as a foundation of the spectacle, the insertion of the text in contemporary dramaturgy and the foundations of political theater. As a practical result, we will perform a show lasting approximately 20 minutes about the work and biography of Marcelo Dolabela. The last part will be dedicated to final considerations.
