SUMMARY:

In this research, we seek to understand and analyze new trends in English language teaching in schools, specifically, bilingual teaching, as well as the different forms of its application in contemporary times. Based on the assumption that teaching/learning the English language is currently one of the most accepted in relation to other languages, it is urgent to analyze how so-called bilingual educational institutions have implemented this teaching for students according to official documents. In this sense, the methodological analysis will be carried out in qualitative documentary form, analyzing the Pedagogical Teaching Plans - PPEs in the light of official documents, more precisely CNE/CEB Opinion nº 2/2020, July 9, 2020, which is of a guiding document on how bilingual teaching should occur in educational institutions. Through these pedagogical plans provided by the institutions, it will be possible to compare them to the document published by the National Education Council to verify and verify compliance with established standards. In other words, it will be possible to analyze all the prerequisites that an institution must have for it to be called bilingual, and whether, in fact, the institutions have adopted the notes, recommendations and guidelines proposed by the official document.
