SUMMARY:

This research addresses new challenges in teaching and learning processes, such as differentiated teaching strategies for an audience in need of attention and support, especially in language teaching for students enrolled in Youth and Adult Education (EJA). This topic was investigated with the aim of analyzing aspects of digital and social inclusion through the Complex Adaptive Pedagogical Interaction Dynamics (DIPAC) for teaching and learning English to EJA students in the context of integrative use of social media, from the perspectives of active methodologies and critical literacy. Specific objectives include identifying how EJA students use social media and analyzing the potential obstacles faced by teachers in the process of teaching English to these students digitally and socially. The study proposes activities that incorporate DIPAC as a facilitating pedagogical design, encouraging the intuitive use of Active Methodologies by teachers, incorporating the integrative use of technologies for socially and digitally inclusive English teaching in EJA, from the perspectives of Active Methodologies and Critical Literacy. The research also presents reflections on the researcher’s perceptions of the participating teacher regarding the progress in students’ learning and English skills in EJA, in connection with the concept of Inclusive Foreign Language (LEI). The theoretical foundation of this work is based on principles of reflecting on the learning process through active methodologies (DIPAC) with upper elementary students in the final years of EJA at a municipal school in a town in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. Given the characteristics of this type of investigation and the data that form the corpus, this is a qualitative, applied research from the case study perspective, considering the specific case of the Municipal School in the interior of Minas Gerais. Based on the problem description, possible solutions were sought in the literature. The research methodology was structured in four stages: 1. Introduction; 2. Theoretical foundation; 3. Methodology; 4. Research results and data discussion.
