A MOVIE NAMED FRIENDSHIP
Reflections on friendship in cinema
Friendship. Cinema. Human relations. Literature. Culture.
This thesis, with an essayistic perspective, intends to build a concept of friendship in times of Liquid Modernity, as named by Zygmunt Bauman, contributing to the research that has been carried out in academia in the most diverse areas of knowledge, highlighting health. Friendship was observed in the different forms that exist and at different stages of life. To do so, we used the language of cinema that represented iconic scenes between friends, based on literary works, such as the iconic The Little Prince, as well as films based on real events. Each film brings an observation of the film, bringing transversal concepts that permeate that of friendship, seeking references in philosophers, poets, saints and other renowned authors so that in the final considerations this construct has been reassembled with all the biases permeated throughout the chapters. In this way, this thesis invites us to reflect on our relationships with each other and how they influence society.
