Illuminating politics of poetic Lucidity: The Decolonial Narrative of the Claudia Andujar Gallery at Inhotim
Photography. Decoloniality. Yanomami. Claudia Andujar.
This research project examines Claudia Andujar´s Gallery at Inhotim Institute, through a decolonial lens informed by the work of Nelson Maldonado-Torres, Catherine Walsh, Nego Bispo, Davi Kopenawa Yanomami, Ailton Krenak, Boris Kossoy, Georges Didi-Huberman, and Vilém Flusser. The study articulates decolonial themes present in Andujar's documentation of the Yanomami's lives and struggles. The project aims to understand how this articulation contributes to dismantling colonial narratives surrounding indigenous populations and proposes a more critical understanding of the Yanomami's reality.
