INTERSEMIOTICAL RESIGNIFICATIONS BETWEEN MATHEMATICAL AND POETIC LANGUAGES THROUGH ALDRAVIAS
Mathematics Teaching; Intersemiotic Translation; Numeracy; Aldravias
This research focuses on the redefinition of signs between mathematical language and Portuguese. These redefinitions establish a fusion between both semioses through the poetic form, typical of Minas Gerais, called Aldravia. As a language, mathematics, endowed with its signs and combinations, enables communication. However, to understand the message, it is necessary to establish a parallel between mathematical language and the native language, as both are intertwined, and the exclusive use of one of them would not achieve effective pedagogical actions to understand the message clearly and precisely. The motivation for this research arose from my familiarization with Aldravias and the realization that the numerical universe, when redefinitioned, helped students understand the representation of the message, giving it meaning and generating greater learning. This practice, carried out through Aldrávicos poems, allows us to delve into the rich universe of semioses. This research aims to investigate how redefining mathematical vocabulary through the poetic form Aldravia can stimulate the development of specific mathematical skills in Vocational and Technological Education students. Using active methodologies and innovative pedagogical practices, I will examine how intersemiotic translation between mathematical and poetic languages can enhance mathematical literacy and student engagement. To this end, the research is classified as a practical methodological study with an exploratory qualitative approach. Through this research, I hope to significantly contribute to teaching and learning practices adopted in the classroom, seeking to broaden the scope of the research universe, where the teacher makes sense of the content taught in a way that places students at the center of learning. In this ongoing journey, the teacher will be able to work with semiotics in various aspects, situating reading as a determining factor for the development of literacy and the social applications of mathematics and arithmetic, a constant theme in the school environment. In this environment, where ideas are constantly influxing, literature becomes a constant ally for students, enriching their vocabulary and arguments, which are so essential for integration into the social environment in which we live.
