SUMMARY:

This dissertation investigates the poetic, editorial and performative practices of the Colectivo
de Escritura Migrante, a transnational collective composed primarily of Latin American
women in contexts of displacement, migration and cultural transit. The research is centered on
the proposal of the concept of transborder poetic editions, understood as an analytical
operator capable of naming contemporary poetic practices that emerge at the intersection of
performance, expanded editing, collective authorship and transnational circulation. Starting
from the observation that the collective’s productions exceed the traditional categories of
literary and editorial criticism, this study shifts the analytical focus from the written text and
the book as privileged supports to the processes, procedures and editorial gestures that
constitute poetic works in border contexts. Editing is understood not as a technical stage
subsequent to creation, but as a performative technology that organizes bodies, voices,
images, temporalities and territories. The methodological approach adopts a qualitative
perspective, based on a critical analysis of collective practice, considering the researcher’s
involvement as an epistemological condition of the object of study. The analytical corpus
consists of five video artworks produced by the Colectivo de Escritura Migrante between
2020 and 2024, examined through their scripts, performances, editorial procedures,
audiovisual editing and circulation strategies. The analyses demonstrate that migratory
experience is formally inscribed in the works through fragmentation, absence, spiraling
temporality and the rejection of linear narrative structures. The video artworks reveal
migration not only as a theme, but as an organizing principle of form, time and editing,
configuring poetics that operate in the in-between, instability and continuous translation. As
an original contribution, this dissertation systematizes the concept of transborder poetic
editions and proposes an expansion of the field of Editing Technologies, incorporating bodily,
sensorial, collective and transnational dimensions. By articulating creation, editing and
circulation as inseparable practices, the study offers analytical tools for understanding
contemporary poetics that emerge in contexts of displacement and border crossings.
