RESUMO:

The main objective of this research is to analyze the decision processes in a research and development project that combines technological and social innovation based on distributed generation of photovoltaic solar energy. This research project highlights the importance of innovation to contemporariness, as well as its development linked to the objectives of sustainable development of the UN, which for this research are those related to access to energy, especially renewable, and to sustained economic growth and decent work. In theoretical terms, the project discusses the relationship between the concepts of technological innovation, social innovation and innovative capacity determinants, anchored in schumpeterian, institutionalism and stakeholders approaches. The dialogue with decision-making processes are also fundamental to this investigation. As for the empirical study, a new form of action is addressed regarding the implementation of a hydro-solar binary and sharing of energy credits through collective distributed generation to foster social business, providing technological and social innovation. This research is being developed within the scope of an ANEEL R&D project (1704). The methodological procedures were designed around a descriptive qualitative research, based on a case study. It is intended to perform data collection via document analysis, semi-structured interviews, focus group and questionnaire, using content analysis for understanding the evidences.
