Analysis of Intelligence Activity from the Perspective of Decision-Making

The objective of the research is to analyze an articulation between the public manager and the intelligence activity, identifying how the decision maker, within the scope of public security in Minas Gerais, perceives and uses the intelligence as an advisory tool within the decision-making process. The theory discusses the fundations of decision analysis proposed by Howard and Abbas and a limited rationality proposed by Simon, relating them to a literature on intelligence activity. In empirical terms, it addresses how the decision maker perceives and uses the intelligence as attempt to make quality decisions. The methodological method was design around a descriptive qualitative research. Intends to perform a data collection via questionnaire, semi-structured interview and document analysis; using content analysis for data processing.
