Determinant Factors for Brazilian Investors' Adherence to the Stock Market after 2019 - an analysis from the behavioral economics perspective
Behavioral Economics; Stock Exchange; Prospect Theory; Finance
Behavioral Economics is the discipline that aims to map and understand what are the emotional, social and psychological factors, conscious or unconscious, that impact human choices (KAHNEMAN, 2012). In this sense, the main objective of this research is to understand which behavioral factors determined the decision of Brazilian investors to adhere to risky investment - Bolsa de Valores - from 2019. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to establish a theoretical framework that conceptually supports research on Capital Markets, Behavioral Economics and its heuristics and biases, and Brazilian investor behavior. The methodological course was designed around a quali-quantitative research, whose chosen method was survey. The conduction of the study was guided by previously defined thematic units and the data collection phase will take place with the replication of the seminal experiments by Kahneman and Tversky (1979), preceded by a descriptive phase in which demographic information will be collected for the characterization of the respondent public, followed by an interview stage with a semi-structured script.
