SUMMARY:

The investigation on the theme: teacher training and pedagogical practice of teachers working in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), is justified by its relevance and direct influence on the quality of education in this type of teaching. In addition, by making a brief overview of the CAPES thesis and dissertation database, it is possible to notice that there is a scarcity of research in Education dedicated to studying the subject. To carry out this work, the methodology chosen will be action research in which the collection and analysis of data and the intervention take place dynamically during the process and the teachers participating in the research acted actively. Therefore, it is intended, at first, to know the profile of teachers who teach at EPT, their initial and continuing education, as well as to investigate the pedagogical practice of these professionals and the daily challenges they face. Thus, together with the participating teachers, the main demands of these educators regarding promotion of student learning will be listed. After this survey, an educational product consisting of a pedagogical training course will be elaborated, in which a series of workshops will be developed with the objective of helping teachers to overcome the dilemmas of their daily lives in the classroom and demonstrate how to optimize the students' learning. . Thus, the general objective of this work is: to analyze the training and pedagogical practice of teachers who work at EPT to understand “if” and “how” the academic training of the investigated teachers, enable the development of actions that favor student learning. The theoretical foundation to support the elaboration and realization of this work is composed by authors such as: Costa (2012), Machado (2008), Moura (2008), Pena (2014) and Oliveira (2006) who developed pertinent investigations about the formation of teachers for EPT and on the pedagogical practice of these teachers in promoting student learning. In addition to these authors, Meneses filho and Costa (2017) and Souza and Rodrigues (2017) supported a historical analysis of some important milestones in the legislation that regulated the training of teachers to teach at EFA. This research will take place in a technical school in the S education system during the 2nd semester of 2020. The course resulting from the educational product can be recorded, edited and distributed to contribute to the continuing education of other teachers who teach at institutions of Professional Education and Technological
