SUMMARY:

For the development of the Master to be presented, the city of Divinopolis is in focus, through the Unit of the Federal Technological Education Center of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG), with the execution of the Graduate Program in Vocational and Technological Education - PROFEPT. This Master studies the interlocution between Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) and Legislative Schools (EL) in the Western Region of Minas Gerais. EL are agencies belonging to some institutions of the Legislative Power in Brazil. In these terms, EL’s premise is the professional qualification of civil servants and social dialogue, with classes that provide political education for population. For this, we will stick to two guiding principles of EPT: integral human formation and labor as an educational principle. The general objective is to develop integral human formation and labor as an educational principle of Vocational and Technological Education as guiding principles articulated to the classes by the Legislative Schools of Western Minas Gerais. To achieve this objective, three lines of work are made explicit: a) origin and historical evolution of Legislative Schools in Brazil; b) EPT's interlocutions with the actions developed by EL in the western region of Minas Gerais; and c) current institutional documentation from the Legislative School of the City Council of Divinopolis, in search of interlocutions with the guiding principles of EPT. For this purpose, bibliographic and documentary research and questionnaires in the form of information request will be used, which will be destined to certain City Councils, where EL exist. After collecting the data, the interpretation will be made by the content analysis method. All of this work will be based on authors who analyze and conceptualize the foundations of EPT, such as Gramsci (2001), Sabino (2014), Manacorda (2014), Borges (2017), Ciavatta (2014), and others of equal relevance; and also in authors who study EL, such as Cosson (2008; 2018), Bernardes Junior (2018), Carvalho (2014), among others. Finally, will be proposed an Educational Product that creates and/or establishes links between the EL and the EPT, so EL’s classes will be able to contribute to the omnilaterality of being, in other words, to promote citizenship for the public and social agents of the localities to be established.
