SUMMARY:

Since ancient times, man has created, modified and perfected techniques to deal with his existence before nature and other animals. Through education, the human being is in a constant process of learning whose purpose is his formation through the knowledge accumulated throughout history. Professional and technological education has in its assumptions the formation of technical knowledge aimed at a job. Digital Information and Communication Technologies brought innovations to various spheres of society and offer new possibilities for teaching and learning that must be used. Given this, can Computational Thinking contribute to professional and technological education? In the search for this answer, the objective is to survey the skills and competences of the pedagogical project of the technical course in Integrated Informatics at a high level, research the skills and competences of the Computational Thinking theory, develop, as an Educational Product (PE), digital tool to assist in the teaching/learning process of technical subjects in an institution of the Federal Network of Professional Education, Scientific and Technological (RFEPCT) and to evaluate the PE. This is a quali-quanti survey. The hypothetical deductive method will be used. The development will be done in five stages. The first is a bibliographic research on technology, professional and technological education and computational thinking, which is important for conceptualizing the problem. The second stage will be an indirect documentary research in the pedagogical project of the Technical course in Informatics in a unit of RFEPCT to know its specificities. Iramuteq software will be used to treat documentary content. The third step will be to develop the EP based on bibliographic research and supported by the concepts of Computational Thinking. The fourth stage will be the research with the teachers of the technical disciplines of the Technical course in Informatics on their evaluations of the EP through a structured questionnaire. The fifth and final stage will be the analysis, conclusion and considerations of the author of this research.
