CONSOLIDATION OF EDUCATION FOR ETHNIC-RACIAL RELATIONS: A STUDY WITH ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIANS FROM SEVERAL SECTORS OF A SECONDARY SCHOOL OF TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
Ethno-racial relations in Brazil; Legislation; Brazilian Network of Professional Education; Scientific and Technological; Administrative technicians.
This research has as its theme the legislation that regulates the new school parameters of insertion and valorization of ethnic-racial relations in Brazilian regular education. The general objective of the study is to evaluate the level of knowledge that administrative technicians from different sectors of a school in the Brazilian Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education have of the legislation that regulates the new school parameters of ethnic-racial relations in Professional and Technological Education (EPT, in Brazilian Portuguese), in order to, with the data collected, implement a short continuous training course aimed at this target public, related to the theme in question. The justifications for conducting the study proposed here are of three types. The first, of a
personal nature, arises from the author's condition as a black woman, an administrative technique in a school of the Brazilian Network of Professional, Scientific and Technological Education, bothered when she perceives a certain lack of knowledge of the legislation on the theme of Ethnic-Racial Relations Education on the part of other technical colleagues. A second one, of academic order, is related to the fact that the studies on the subject approached here still present gaps as to the possibility of having, as research subjects, the administrative technicians of the several sectors that compose the schools of this Network. A third, of a social nature, is based on the observation that the Brazilian school has been, in the last decades, a space that has assumed a certain protagonism in the consolidation and irradiation of public policies thought out from several legal devices that have sought to build a basis for reducing differences and improving the living conditions of the Brazilian black population. Therefore, it is important that the agents acting in this school space are aware of the main legislation on the subject. In these terms, the work proposed here will adopt a qualitative approach and will use a case study that will initially resort to a bibliographic and documental research to later carry out a field research that will use an online questionnaire to obtain the data. It is expected, with the application of this data collection instrument, to gather information that points to themes that will be approached in a short course - educational product of this project - that, once executed, will also be object of evaluation and reflection in the dissertation that will result from the whole process described above.
