SUMMARY:
The following general objective was established: to identify the main difficulties faced by managers of state schools of the Regional Education Superintendence of Divinópolis on financial management, focusing on the execution and accountability of the funds received. In this attempt, the following specific objectives are unfolded: a) to understand the format in which financial resources for education are made available and what is the way to reach the schools; b) identify the structure of the management body of state schools in the state of Minas Gerais; c) analyze the legislation regarding the financial execution of its resources, as well as the rendering of accounts; d) propose tools and strategies to improve the technical work of planning, execution and accountability of financial resources, aiming to contribute to the qualification of the school management body and consequently to obtain an improvement in the quality of education. To this end, it is intended to prepare a reference manual that contains all legislation relevant to the financial management of the school fund linked to practical examples. This tool is intended to make it easier for the school manager to immediately consult the various regulations that are sometimes sparse and without practical exemplification in the management of resources.
