THE PLACE OF BRAZILIAN ACADEMIC WORK STANDARDIZATION IN THE FORMATION OF BRAZILIAN STUDENTS OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION.
Standardization of academic papers; Brazilian Association of Technical Standards; Vocational Education; Integrated Modality.
For more than 10 years working as a librarian, we have experienced students' difficulties in understanding and applying the Brazilian Standards (NBRs) of information and documentation in the Course Conclusion Academic Work (TCC) and academic works requested by the discipline teachers. These perceptions of the difficulties of students at the Federal Institute of Education where we currently work and the realities we know in other institutions have led us to hypothesize that students in high school technical courses have little or no knowledge of the norms of the Brazilian Association for Technical Norms (ABNT). All this process - added to our educational and professional trajectory so far - motivated us to outline the research problem that interested us in this investigation. Thus, we asked: what is the level of knowledge and/or domain of applicability of ABNT norms for the elaboration of academic works among students who conclude secondary level technical courses in the integrated modality? In these terms, based on the data obtained in a field research to be carried out with students concluding an integrated modality course of Technical Professional Education at Secondary Level (EPTNM), this project is interested in developing a game aimed at this audience, which can be used as an educational tool by teachers and/or librarians
