SUMMARY:

This research project aims to understand and evaluate the dynamics of supervised professional training in the context of Vocational and Technological High School. It is understood that the mandatory internship, currently designated as supervised professional internship, is an important opportunity for integration between the theory acquired in the school environment and practice experienced in the corporate world. The school-work connection is a principle of technological professional education (EPT) that, through the practice of the internship, is able to develop in the student skills and competences that can prepare him not only for the world of work but also for his life as a citizen. . In this context, the present study focuses on the understanding of the experience lived in the mandatory professional internship, its practical connection with academic theory and its influence on the insertion in the job market or on the continuity of studies in the area of technical training attended by the student. The research will be developed with quantitative and qualitative methods, with bibliographic research, document analysis and questionnaires to be applied to the groups involved: graduates and supervisors of supervised professional internship. The interpretation of the collected data will result in the elaboration of an educational product. It will be an instructional video with the purpose of strengthening and strengthening the connection between school and work. The locus to be studied will be the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais IFMG – Campus Formiga, in its Technical Course in Management Integrated to High School.
