SUMMARY:

The National School Feeding Program (PNAE) is one of the most important public policies in Brazil. In addition to providing school meals, the PNAE provides for Food and Nutrition Education (EAN) for basic education students. Due to the high consumption of ultra-processed foods associated with the increase in Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases (cardiovascular, chronic respiratory diseases, cancers and diabetes), in 2020, Resolution 06/2020, of the PNAE, was published, which was aligned with the current Food Guide for the Brazilian Population, which prioritizes the consumption of fresh and minimally processed foods. Integrated high school students assisted by Vocational and Technological Education (EPT) are beneficiaries of the program. Considering that the EAN contributes to the integral formation of the human being, according to the assumptions of the EPT, the general objective of this work was established: to analyze and promote EAN strategies for integrated high school students residing in the IFMG Student House - Campus Bambuí , as provided for in the PNAE, through the teaching-learning method developed by Paulo Freire. EAN has approached Freire's methodology, with a view to actions that seek people's autonomy and emancipation. The public's choice is based on the fact that these students live on campus and eat more frequently in the school environment. The research will be carried out through a bibliographic review, document analysis and semi-structured interview with 5 students residing on the campus, using the content analysis method of these interviews. Three educational products (EP) are suggested: a script for building a school garden, a script for developing a cooking workshop on healthy eating, and a guide for publishing nutritional guidelines through the Instagram platform. The execution of the EP will consolidate the student's protagonism in the EAN. These are preliminary proposals because, based on the research to be carried out, the final format of the EP will be defined.
