SUMMARY:

Active methodologies are strategies used in knowledge construction, characterized by student protagonism. The study will include literature research for theoretical review on active methodologies and Geography teaching. Additionally, classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and questionnaire surveys will be conducted to collect data on adopted pedagogical practices and the stakeholders' perception. The critical analysis will be based on the obtained results, aiming to identify the strengths and limitations of active methodologies in Geography teaching in technical education at the secondary level. Aspects such as student engagement, meaningful learning, the applicability of geographical content in the technical context, and the development of skills and competencies related to the discipline will be considered. By the end of the project, the expected outcome is to present a didactic sequence as a product to enhance the use of active methodologies in Geography teaching in technical education at the secondary level, contributing to the improvement of educational quality and student development.
