SUMMARY:

The objective of this research is to identify the presence of financial education in secondary education integrated with professional and technological education (EPT), how it is being addressed in the classroom and the perception of the pedagogical team or course coordination on the topic. Financial education was explicitly included in the National Common Curriculum Base for secondary education (BNCC) in its last update, in 2017. Since then, educational institutions should address the topic with students. The country's economic system is capitalist. Thus, in addition to the normative context prescribed by the Ministry of Education (MEC), the teaching model of professional and technological education (EPT) is aimed at the integral training of the student and their preparation for the world of work and for living. in society. These factors justify the relevance of this research. As research methodologies, bibliographical and documentary research and semi-structured interviews will be applied with the pedagogical team or coordination of the integrated technical course in electronics at CEFET-MG Campus II, COLTEC/UFMG and IFMG Campus Ribeirão das Neves. The educational product will be an extension course to assist the teaching staff of educational institutions in approaching financial education in EPT. The choice of product is justified by the hypothesis that one of the limitations for approaching financial education in schools is the distribution of workload in contrast to the high volume of mandatory content that must be taught in the classroom
