SUMMARY:

Science communication has been an important means of democratizing knowledge (BRASIL, 2018, p.11). With this in mind, this study aims to answer the following question: how is the production of science communication pieces by teachers in integrated secondary education taking place? thus seeking to answer its general objective of mapping the production of science communication pieces by teachers in technical vocational secondary education, with a view to identifying themes to be addressed in an educational product that will help to increase the effectiveness of these teaching actions or overcome possible difficulties they encounter in the processes employed. To this end, the aim is to carry out a qualitative study which will use bibliographical research, documentary research and field research as its investigative procedures. While the first will involve reading books, chapters, articles, theses, dissertations and other academic productions with a view not only to mapping the production on the subject, but also to substantiating and discussing it; the second will take as its corpus documents regulating technical professional education, particularly in its medium-level modality, seeking to identify whether scientific dissemination has been addressed and how the role of the teacher in this dissemination has been configured. The third procedure, field research, will be carried out at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais, at its Nova Suíça and Timóteo units, located in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Timóteo, respectively. For data collection, a questionnaire will be used as a data collection tool and the answers, once systematized, will be analyzed based on the foundations and guidelines of content analysis (BARDIN 2016). This data will serve as a guide for the development of an educational product yet to be defined from among four options that we believe to be pertinent. The first would consist of a course exploring science communication and its process from a more theoretical perspective. The second would have similar content to the first, but would focus on practical production and would be presented in the form of a workshop. The third possible product would be a website containing crucial information on the production of science communication in EFA. The fourth possibility would consist of a podcast that would bring together teachers, technicians and students involved in projects to generate scientific knowledge
