SUMMARY:

This research aims to investigate the use of alcohol among high school students integrated with professional education. Alcohol consumption is considered a serious public health problem. Alcohol is a psychoactive substance that causes dependence and is among the most consumed in the world, especially among adolescents. In addition to health risks, alcohol consumption in adolescence is also associated with a series of academic losses. Alcohol consumption is one of the factors related to school dropout and dropout, as it significantly compromises part of the brain, the organ responsible for memory, learning, motivation and self-control. The objective of this study is to investigate alcohol use among integrated high school students, as well as verify the relationship between alcohol use and academic results, associate alcohol use with sociodemographic variables and, finally, propose a management plan. action, with the participation of school subjects, aimed at preventing alcohol use in adolescence and an Instagram page to disseminate information on the topic. To this end, data collection will be carried out using a questionnaire with open and closed questions that make it possible to understand consumption and factors associated with alcohol consumption among adolescents. With this work we hope to contribute to the formation of critical citizens, responsible and aware of their life projects.
