In an increasingly competitive market, and in view of the current economic problems, it is necessary for companies to invest in improving their production processes. At the same time that the industries evolve, in the production processes of sanitary ware there is a high waste of the finished product due to the defects found in the final manufacturing process. The sanitary ware industry Santa Clara, located in the city of Araxá-MG, is one of several companies that make up this scenario, with waste produced constantly during the manufacture of sanitary ware. The objective of this work is to present Lean Manufacturing, which seeks to identify waste that influences the productivity of organizations. In this way, the tableware that would become waste and would depend on another practice in the process to be processed, would return to the production process before firing, ensuring better sustainability and savings in time and costs. It is hoped that with the application of the Lean Manufacturing methodology in the context of the manufacture of sanitary ware, it will be possible to reduce the environmental impact caused by the waste from the mentioned mining activity, as well as to increase the company's financial results and improve the performance of the work team
