SUMMARY:

In this work, selective Ni/NiO surfaces are being produced for solar concentrators, aiming at producing water vapor and generating electricity. These surfaces were produced by electroplating nickel onto stainless steel, followed by oxidation in a muffle furnace. After the production of selective surfaces, they will be characterized by SEM, x-ray diffraction, coating thickness evaluation and, finally, by spectrophotometry.
