SUMMARY:

The Public Administration, having peculiar activities among its bodies, does not have effective and efficient tools that help its managers to diagnose the energy performance of its facilities. Another relevant aspect is the usual technically unfeasible application of public resources with empirical acquisitions of inefficient equipment. This study aims to demonstrate the importance of having access to a practical and objective methodology for carrying out an energy diagnosis that includes the phase of lifting loads until the verification of energy performance after the actions are implemented. Having demonstrated the fact that it is possible to develop energy efficiency projects based on the application of an objective and accessible diagnostic methodology, it is expected to encourage public agents to plan and rethink the format in which energy is consumed in their facilities, promoting sustainability and the rational use of resources within the scope of public policies.
