SIMULATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF A PHOTOVOLTAIC AND THERMAL SYSTEM WITH HEAT PUMP IN BRAZIL
Solar energy. PVT-HP. Heat pump.
The field of study of solar energy has developed considerably in recent decades. New system configurations, equipment improvement and process optimization are some of the topics widely researched. Hybrid solar collectors are significant results of this search for improvement, which consist of converting solar energy into different forms of energy, commonly thermal and electrical, simultaneously. An example of a hybrid model is the Photovoltaic and Thermal Panel - PVT, which consists of a solar collector integrated into a photovoltaic plate, which can be installed in different configurations, such as associated with a heat pump. This study aims to evaluate a photovoltaic and thermal system assisted by a double tank indirect heat pump for domestic water heating in Brazilian locations. Therefore, the computational simulation methodology was used to carry out the project, using the Transient System Simulation – TRNSYS software. To evaluate the technical and financial viability of the system, 05 (five) systems were designed and simulated.
