Affection and memory in Jogo de Cena

In this text, we will study the contributions of the affection and the memory on the construction of reports in the work of Eduardo Coutinho. Recognized as the biggest brazilian documentarist of his generation, the filmmaker Coutinho dedicated himself to the documentary field, making films from the speech of regular people and their memories. Searching to understand how are processed there portsand theme aning both from affection as well as the memory of these people/characters, we will try to comprehend if it establishes the conversation method, through Coutinho’s stationary camera in the documentary Jogo de Cena (2006). This documentary correlates the characters’ report sthrough affection and memory, making, there fore, a reality from fiction. In this way, we will search for establishing a dialogue with reflections about Eduardo Coutinho’s creative processes, in order to address both Coutinho’s contribution, including debates about the memory in the construction of reports in cinema, as well as the individual power on the affection relations.
