THINGS ARE IN THE WORLD:post-production and appropriation of literature in the works of Rosana Ricalde, Marilá Dardot and Fabio Morais

The present study aims to approach the concepts of appropriation and post-production, when related to visual works of art that take the book and literature as a reason for visual creation, to the works of contemporary artists. For that, I highlight as an object of analysis the works of Rosana Ricalde (Invisible Cities and Self-portraits), Marilá Dardot (Rayuela, Things are in the world and The Book of Sand) and Fabio Morais (Lina and At Your Feet) related with the concepts exploited mainly by Nicholas Bourriaud, Fineberg and Maria do Carmo Veneroso. I try, then, to explain the possible mixtures between the visual arts and literature, their modes of contagion and possibilities of transforming the book into visual works.
