RESUMO:

Based on the mapping and study of the editions of all books written by Hilda Hilst (19302004) – a writer with vast literary production, composed of works from the most diverse genres, of an often transgressive character – this research aims to analyze how publishers who published the author's works, as legitimizing instances in the literary field, used strategies, especially paratextual, to reposition the books and the image of the writer in the field, thinking especially about the treatment given to eroticism present in works, as this is, in a way, a limiting factor for the reception of editions. In this sense, considering that the publishing market is also linked to the structure of the economic field, which often aims at profit and perpetuates conservation strategies, it is believed that analyzing the editorial strategies used in editions of Hilst's works means understanding how publishers respond to certain field states and the extent to which they are influenced by the fields of power, which will materialize in the repositioning of Hilda's works and image in the literary field, with eroticism approaching or forgetting. In this sense, it will also seek to analyze how academic criticism was linked to editions, reflecting on how editorial and critical strategies may have influenced the reception of editions. For this, the following will be used: the assumptions of the theory of fields, by Bourdieu (1996; 2018); the concept of literary rewriting, by Lefevere (2007); the discussions about the erotic promoted by Bataille (2013), Bakhtin (2010), Sontag (2015), Moraes (2013; 2014; 2015) and Paes (2006); and the reflections on the processes of literary criticism proposed by Márcia Abreu (2006), Compagnon (2010), Dalcastagnè (2005) and Derrida (2014).
