SUMMARY:

In this research project, we propose a case study of the Caldeirão Furado YouTube channel, analyzing how it appropriates the original story of the seven main books of the Harry Potter saga to create content. We are also interested in understanding how the channel manipulates fan culture for monetization purposes, benefiting from an existing fanbase. We intend to analyze Cauldron Furado as a representative of the potterhead community, seeking to understand the aspects that unite this community and also how the spin-offs and stories provided by J.K. Rowling on the Pottermore site are used. It is in our interest to evaluate the fan culture feedback movement, in which they themselves keep the fascination for Harry Potter active and attract more and more people, even if there are no new canonical publications. From there, we hope to understand how the fan community behaves, sharing knowledge about the content, as well as creating their own versions of the story.
