The self-narrative in the diary books of Carolina Maria de Jesus: Discourse Analysis in Quarto de Despejo and Casa de Alvenaria

This research intends to analyze discursively the diary books Quarto de Despejo (The Trash Room) (2000) and Casa de Alvenaria (1961), of Carolina Maria de Jesus, in the light of French perspective of discourse analysis. It is the aim of this study to understand how the self-narrative is established in these two books, observing the compositional work of the author's language, based on theoretical concepts of Michel Pêcheux (2016). So, the goal is to analyze the discourses presents in these reports and what effects of meaning can be comprehended within Carolinian narrative.
