RESUMO:

This doctoral research approached the construction of the identities of the subjects of the heavy metal and punk on the underground scene ate Belo Horizonte. That is an ethnography complemented by virtual ethnography data. To guide the study, three categories of analisys have been created: the body, the subjectivity and the cultural imaginary. Both are crossed by the signs, social and political background. The identity formation involves complex process with body representations, internal tensions of thought and coexistence of me and other.
