SUMMARY:

This study approaches the construction of Underground Heavy Metal and Punk scene individual's identities in the city of Belo Horizonte. Underground scene performs many artistic works: songs, lyrics, album covers, outfits, audiovisual productions, among others. Processes of identifying subjets take place through experiences across senses with signs, social coexistence and further aesthetic elements. To understand this personality formation dynamic, ''The Five Skins'', by Hundertwasser, was proposed: epidermis, attire, home, character, social and global environment. Identity is defined by thoughts,  coexistence and political views before social injustices. Its aesthetic displays doesn't differ from political expressions: they are forms of resistance and survival of a culture.
