SUMMARY:

This research aims to carry out an experimental practice in translation and book creation/editing based on the translation of the poem On the Grasshopper and Cricket by John Keats, investigating the expressive potential of the practice of translation for a publishing proposal, associating graphic design, illustration and verbal text in order to build an intermedia relationship between these languages and reflect on how publishing and translation can be enhanced in a project that assumes the dialogue between both activities. As the aim of this study is to make a proposal for an edition that dialogues with translation, in the conceptual field the study falls within the studies of poetry translation, intermediality and artist's books.
