This research aims to investigate under the bias of the paradigm of complexity and assumptions of active methodologies such as meaningful learning and student-centricity can emerge from blended teaching in English language classes. For this research, we used an English language class in the second year of high school as a data source, for which a lesson plan was produced by the teacher under the guidance of the researcher, the teacher who calls herself a traditionalist teacher in her teaching methods and does not make use of DICT integrations to pedagogical processes. The teacher accepted the challenge of modifying the structure of her class for hybrid teaching so that we could observe the behavior of the complex dynamic system in this new learning context. The research had as a methodological procedure the observation and recording of a class with the objective of describing and classifying the movements observed in the classroom and clarifying questions such as whether there was a disturbance in the system during the English language class, describing the steps that can be observed in the classroom based on complexity theory and report possible movements of emergence and co-adaptation of the system explained by Larsen-Freeman & Cameron (2008). In this work, we will discuss the perceptions of students and teachers about the integration of new digital technologies in the context of hybrid teaching and the students' reports on a new proposal for learning the English language, which is different from the proposals experienced by them in this school year.
