SUMMARY:

The present study has the general objective of analyzing the production of imaginaries in the functioning of the sexting discourse in the closed RSD Whatsapp and the power relations that constitute them. Thus, our proposal is to work in the light of Discourse Analysis (DA) of the French School, through a bibliographic review, as can be seen in the introduction and chapter 2, notably through the work of authors such as Althusser (1985), Foucault ( [1979], 1988, 2004, 2008, 2014), Orlandi (1996, 2003, 2012, 2017) and Pêcheux ([1988], 2002, 2007, 2003). Our discussion will have as descriptive corpus discursive sequences formed by screen prints with textual and image messages exchanged by Whatsapp, segmented into two subcategories: nudes and emojis. Such material will be voluntarily provided by the participants of this research at an opportune moment, so that we have the possibility of analyzing imagetic materialities in the imbrication with the linguistic materiality and the production of meanings carried out there. For the achievement of the discursive corpus, our main question is about the discursive regularities present in the practice of sexting and the power relations that constitute them. At this point, we will work with the notions of censorship (as a system of control and delimitation of the sexting discourse), denial (as a gesture of power in relationships between peers) and resistance (in relation to image exchanges, such as the approach and request for sending images set to "nudes").
