EDUCATION TECHNICIAN: WHO IS THIS PROFESSIONAL? Analysis of the Municipal Laws of the Education Network of Itatiaiuçu-MG

The object of study is the career of Education Technicians in a municipal public network in the interior of Minas Gerais, from the 1st law creating the position to the present day. To this end, it addresses the selection criteria, functions, public policies for valuing the class, including performance during remote teaching in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Content Analysis, studied and disseminated by the professor of Psychology at the University of Paris V, Laurence Bardin (2020) as well as concepts from Libâneo (2010), Franco (2008), Freire (2019), Abreu e Souza (2015) Carvalho et al. (2021), Oliveira(2019), Garcia(2006), Bacich and Moran (2018), Morin(2021), among others. The corpus will emerge from the Municipal Laws and from the documents of the Municipal Secretary of Education, as well as data collected from literary reviews. Education Technician: Who is this professional? What are the public policies for valuing this professional? What are your roles and responsibilities? Does this nomenclature mischaracterize or resignify the function? We hope, with the result of this research, to promote reflections on the origin, functions of Education Technicians, their absorption in the municipal education network, their importance in the democratization of pedagogical management, with a sense of belonging, as highlighted by Abreu and Souza ( 2015 , p.27).
