SUMMARY:

In our study, we propose an analysis of the rhetorical strategies, values and political imaginaries mobilized by the Brazilian neoconservative discourse conveyed in the online environment, taking into account the presence of a pathetic and polemical dimension in the analyzed corpus. To this end, publications made on the official profile of President Jair Bolsonaro on Twitter, between the years 2016 and 2022, will be used, observing the discursive characteristics of the statements presented and expressed by the extreme right in Brazil. For the proposed debate, we will take as a basis studies developed by Discourse Analysis (DA) of the French line, in particular, by Semiolinguistics. Based on the proposed analysis, we intend to answer the following questions: what are the traits of the Brazilian neoconservative discourse conveyed in digital social networks? On which thematic axes, rhetorical strategies, ethé, ideological values and socio-discursive imaginaries is it based? What linguistic forms, lexical choices and formulaic expressions are used to evoke such values and imaginaries? It is understood that the proposed analysis will enable a breakthrough in studies on the discursiveness expressed by the extreme right in Brazil, especially from the identification of values and imaginaries (re)constructed and disseminated by it.
