SUMMARY:

In the literary tangle that, in general terms, a literary work presents us with, unraveling the temporal threads and influences that contribute to the conception of a work becomes a challenging task. This research aims to transcend the conventional approach that limits the analysis of a work to history as a continuous strip, delving into the intricacies of the shifting skein of poetic images, particularly in the case of the work "Terra de Santa Cruz" by the renowned poet Adélia Prado. As we explore the winding paths of poetic images, certain questions arise: how can we describe the tangled threads of time present in a work, beyond history as a continuous strip? How can we describe the mobile skein of images in this work, beyond activities that are too reclusive and prudently hierarchical? Can a "survival" act as an active co-creator in a work? In order to be able to answer these questions, we consider the theory, which in this research we have labeled: "Warburg-Didi-Hubermanian Theory" -because it is a study of Aby Warburg's research based on Didi-Huberman's investigations-, as a reference capable of illuminating the interpretations of the images and symbols present in "Terra de Santa Cruz", by the Minas Gerais poet Adélia Prado, providing a deeper and more holistic perspective on the interaction between poetry, temporality and the influences that shape Adélia Prado's work. What is proposed, therefore, is the construction of a discursive model of "survivals" and memory in the work in question, unveiling the wealth of meanings that permeate the intersection between the images and the temporal fabric. In other words, an anthropological study of the images in "Terra de Santa Cruz".
