SUMMARY:

In this research, we propose to investigate the effective use of digital equipment (tablet, Chromebook, Datashow, computer and digital whiteboard) by elementary school teachers at a municipal school in Belo Horizonte in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. Our intention is to evaluate whether the methodology used by teachers considers the student as the protagonist of teaching-learning and whether the pedagogical activities developed include research, experimentation and sharing characteristic of active methodologies. The theoretical support studied consists of the theory of literacy, according to Soares (2001), Kleiman (2014), Coscarelli & Ribeiro (2017); Rojo & Moura (2012); and Cazden et al. (2021); as well as the theory of active methodologies, according to Bacich (2015) and Moran (2015, 2017). The results demonstrated that there were advances in the availability of digital equipment at school, as well as access to the internet to improve the use of digital technologies in the school context, but progress still needs to be made, especially considering a broad investment by public authorities in the wifi network. -fi. It was found, through the teachers' reports in the interview, that the majority do not develop students' digital literacy, nor hybrid teaching involving active methodologies, but they are interested and see the need to change, but still feel insecure about not fully mastering the uses of digital technologies and have a deeper knowledge of hybrid teaching and its approach in practice. It is clear that there is a need for a public policy perspective to consider training on the “school floor”, providing a necessary advance in the pedagogical practice of teachers.
