The primary objective of this project is to explore the depiction of the Lagoinha neighborhood in Wander Piroli's work, emphasizing its significance for both the genre of contemporary Brazilian chronicles and the urban imaginary of Belo Horizonte. The research entails a detailed critical analysis of the texts, employing a diverse theoretical framework that includes Walter Benjamin's theories to Luis Alberto Brandão's literary space theories, aiming to understand and clarify the relationship between the chronicle, urban space, and marginality. The methodology encompasses extensive bibliographic research and document analysis from the UFMG's Acervo dos Escritores Mineiros.
