SUMMARY:

As a result of the technological advancements experienced in the present day, progress becomes inevitable, presenting new challenges in teaching and learning processes. Such a context necessitates attention to some necessary and emergent changes, such as differentiated teaching strategies for a public in need of attention, support, and especially in language teaching for students enrolled in Youth and Adult Education (YAE). This will lead learners to build solid knowledge based on their interests and the use of technological tools, shifting away from routines based on traditional and banking education, where the process takes precedence over the learner. It is worth noting that the vast majority of the target audience of YAE are individuals who were excluded from schooling at some point in their trajectory. To underpin the research, several authors were consulted to reinforce and engage with the proposal, such as: Carlos Roberto Jamil Cury (2002, 2021), Paulo Freire (1967,1982,1996,2002, and 2013), Frigotto (1995), Leffa (2007), Moacir Gadotti (2006,2018), Moran (2004,2017), Miguel Arroyo (2007, 2013, 2017), SOARES, L. SILVA, F.R. Education for Youth and Adults preparing for VI CONFITEA and thinking about Brazil. 2008, PARREIRAS, Vicente Aguimar "INTERACTIONAL DYNAMICS" FOR MANAGING FOREIGN LANGUAGE LEARNING BASED ON COMPLEXITY THEORY. 2019, and MINAS GERAIS. Minas Agency. SEE Resolution No. 2843/2016. Provides for the Organization and Operation of Youth and Adult Education/EJA – face-to-face courses, in public schools in the state of Minas Gerais. Belo Horizonte: SEE, 2016. In the words of Freire (2019), the pedagogy of the oppressed, as a humanist and liberating pedagogy, thus, this person is always evolving and learning, they will have the strength to confront the culture of domination. This qualitative research of an applied nature aims to reflect on the learning process through active methodologies (DIPAC) with students in the final years of basic education II of the YAE. The goal is to transform the school, making it a model in teaching and learning using Active Methodologies and empowering the teacher to work in differentiated ways with results and a focus on learning so that this student does not feel excluded from society, but rather as an active participant.
